MATH-662: Probability Distributions
- 1 minGoing back to college after 23 years, and trying to remember probability & calculus has been an interesting challenge. The first day in class as Professor Dhar was working through refreshers for probability, he started proving axioms and theorems from the undergrad classes. All the while I sat in there thinking, “Ah ha! I’ve heard of all these before and I know that term is and what it does!”, but for the life of me, I could not recall a single theorem and the why behind some of them.
The prerequisite for MATH-662 is MATH-333 or MATH-344, which I was not a part of, and what I learnt in my undergrad is long forgotten.
If you are someone similar to me, trying to grapple the fundamentals again, these are good starting points.
